Do you trust your doctor?

As I wake up this morning, that is the question that comes to my mind--Do you trust your doctor? I read some reports of doctors receiving kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies as a reward for prescribing their products. I am not against doctors. I thank God for doctors and if you got a good one, by all means, stay with him/her. My concern is that lately medicine has become big business and too many times,it puts good people into deep financial ruin. Gone are the days that the insurance company would cover you and help relieve you of the cost. Now, they leave you with more to pay. How about you ? Do you trust your doctor?

Mostly I do, but I recently read somewhere that 90% of people who go into the medical field are doing it to earn big bucks. That is scary stuff.

There are still doctors who love to help their patients but of course they needed to earn for a living

Uuumm … Jesus said [i]“The sick need a physician.”[/u] I'm sure He meant that he meant a trustworthy physician, like Luke was to the Apsotle Paul. The thing about doctors that you can't trust is that, most of the time when you go to a doctor, most people take for granted they can trust their healthcare provider. It's a given. Sometimes, by the time they realize that the doctor could not be trusted, their health has suffered and/or deteriorated. I have been blessed with good health for most of my life. Frankly, I am terrified of going to see a doctor and of taking my family members to see a doctor. Even when it's an emergency and somebody has to go to the hospital ER, I'm dialing 9-1-1 to the heavens and calling God for help. In America, doctors have become very scary people. It wasn't always like that. It wasn't that way when I was much younger. But it is now. That's a cold hard fact.

Sometimes I am not. One time, I was having difficulty breathing after my session. So the nurse needs me to deliver to ER for further observation. Then the Doctor who was checking on me prescribed me an anti-biotic that cause us a lot. And since it was urgent, the boyfriend needs to buy the medicine. And when my Nephrologist was doing her rounds, she then scolded the Doctor who assisted me that he gave the wrong medicine for me. Since then if it was not my Nephrologist I will not trust anyone.
