I had to buy my next monthly bus ticket today. Though the new ticket won’t be usable until tomorrow (Saturday) I have to buy it before then, as otherwise it would take a bus ride to the bus station to be able to purchase it. Though I could get a weekly ticket on the bus, monthly tickets have to be bought at the bus station. I went early as I had other events to go to as you’ll see shortly. Unfortunately the bus station bak-card reader was offline so I had to go to the bank to get cash and then go back to the station to get my ticket. As many bank ATM’s are not free to use I had quite a walk to and from the nearest free one. Ticket finally bought I headed to the community centre to present a quiz for the locals, and it was great fun, though I was disappointed that the centre manager hadn’t bothered getting in any prizes for the winners (which they usually do) so the winner had to settle for a round of applause instead of the usual box of donuts and cakes. Back home I worked online, job searching and then tuned in for a favourite TV quiz show only to find it was cancelled for a live football match I cared nothing about. I found a new site online that pays too, Beermoneyforum, which looks promising and a few Mylotters are on there too. Arthur Chappell
