I haven't seen them in the grocery store. My husband is a chicken farmer...he's still trying to figure out which part of the chicken has 'fingers'.

Funny you post this because I just bought some today! My son has a field trip and I wanted to give him something "different" - and we've never bought these. Tomorrow he'll see some art . . . and make some more dinosaurs extinct

Very cute "dinosaurs", Genipher!
You know, my dad always did say reptile meat tasted just like chicken. I wonder if he would have thought T-Rex steaks tasted like chicken, too?
I suspect dad said that because my mom cooked "unusual" meats the same way she cooked chicken. (Dipping it into a milk based liquid and dredging it through a bowl of flour and spices before cooking it in a cast iron skillet filled with boiling oil.)
Don't ask me why she did that, since I can't answer that question. I just know that's how she cooked meats not normally found in Walmart, Consumers or Ramey's Supermarkets.
While I am willing to experiment with different (new) products found in the supermarkets here, reptile meat isn't one of those.

@Genipher Believe it or not, I LOVE alligator tail! It is one reptile meat that does well being cooked like chicken! (Snake, not so much!

You thought you got me, huh? (grinning at you!) IDK if I told you way back when that my parents were poor farmers in Missouri. Most of the time, we grew more of our own food than we bought in a store. (Vegetables as well as meat.)
Many of my family still hunt for the major part of the meat they eat. Pretty and I are offered part of the wild harvest. Sometimes we accept but most of the time, we don't.
It depends partly on which family member hunted and killed the game and partly on where the family member went to hunt the game. Bear and Elk from Alaska are on our menu this winter courtesy of one niece. "Seafood" from the Gulf Coast (caught and butchered by one brother) last year did not find a place in my freezer!
We aren't total barbarians since we also have ham/bacon/pork steaks from a neighbor and smoked turkey from an acquaintance not far from where we live in our freezer this year, too...

Ah, I love "home-grown" meat. When we get settled I want to get a small flock of chickens. We might even be able to get away with a meat or dairy goat. Or both. I also want to start a garden. We couldn't garden at our last house because the cats crapped in any exposed piece of dirt.
We have friends that hunt. Sometimes they share their abundance with us--it's always greatly appreciated! Hubby says the best soup he ever had was made from bear!
I wouldn't mind trying alligator. I also wouldn't have a problem with eating horse...
