Starbucks was founded in 1971 and has 24,500 locations. The name alone always made me think of something from outer space. It was the creative idea between a history teacher and an English teacher. They wanted to bring great coffee to the people of Seattle, Washington and the first Starbucks opened in 1971 at Pike Place Market. At first it only sold coffee beans.
The coffee shop got its name from the first mate in the book “Moby Dick” by Herman Melville. If this had not happened the name could have been Moby Dick’s which then would sound more like a fish restaurant. They are recognized by the mermaid on their Starbuck’s logo. Their Pumpkin Spice Latte is the invention of a Stanford basketball player who was given the task of coming up with a new kind of espresso drink.
Starbuck’s formed the record label, Hear Music and one of the first to sign up was Sir Paul McCartney. They have also chosen to make an evening menu which also offers beer and wine.
How many of you have been to a Starbucks?

I love Starbucks, I know it isn't the best coffee shop out there, but I just love the vibe it has. I used to spend many days writing a script with an old best friend so it just gives good memories. nothing beats just a regular vanilla bean frapp! No coffee, just deliciousness!

I don't think anyone in America hasn't stepped into a Starbucks.

Here there are more and more Starbucks. However, I don't go there because I think it is expensive and it is not worthy. I have a coffee machine at home and I can make the same at home. Or I can even have an instant coffee at home and it is also fine for me.

@antonbunot When they come to China, perhaps they will charge high as well as Starbucks

@youless I don't think so . . . Canadian businessmen are different. They are not as greedy as _______ (just fill in the blank
). So I can assure you that Tim Hortons coffee will be cheaper than Starbucks.

I've enjoyed a Starbucks occasionally but I'm not a must have daily customer. Instead of coffee I do enjoy their chai tea latte very much

I don't like coffee, so Starbucks has no appeal to me.
Plus, I'm a music geek, so I think of the band who did "Moonlight Feels Right."

@RasmaSandra — they were a one big hit, one minor hit band. Blink twice and you missed them.
