Are All Your Legal Affairs in Order?

Since a person never knows what tomorrow may bring into their lives, it’s always a good idea to have all your legal affairs in order. This applies to young people as well as older persons. Car crashes, accidents, unexpected illnesses and many other things can happen without warning. Anyone who is 21 years old or even younger, if you are earning a living or responsible for a child, should have legal papers in order, just in case. Young people don’t usually think about the fact that their lives can end suddenly and without warning. It’s not something that anyone really wants to think about, but it is something that everyone SHOULD think about. You don’t have to hire a lawyer. There are legal papers that you can access on line or purchase at an Office Supply store. You simply fill them out, get them notarized and make copies for your family to have on hand, if something happens to you. I just had my Last Will & Testament notarized by a Notary Public at the local Police Station. She charged $5 and even made copies for me. It’s important! It’s the responsible thing to do! What do you think?

Our bank will notarize things for free. I do not have any legal papers drawn up. I only own a vehicle and the thing inside my house. My parents own the house and I pay bills, repairs and taxes. If something happens to me my parents will take care of things.

I actually went to my bank first, but was informed that they no longer have that service. So, they told me to go to the police station. It was convenient. No problem at all. The $5 wasn't much, so I didn't mind that at all.

I couldn't agree more. This is so important and not just for older people. The nightmare that can ensue if your affairs aren't in order is horrendous if left behind for others to deal with.

@IreneVincent In our country bureaucracy takes over and ends up with a good share of the assets.

I agree with you and I hope those young parents will do the same things like that just to be ready anytime for their kids

All alone and I mean alone. I have no one so they might as well toss me in the garbage can when I go where ever I am when the time comes. My stuff can be just thrown out too. Sorry this was one of my very bad days today. They come and go but yes, alone is true.

I'm so sorry that you are having a bad day. I'm sure you feel alone now that your husband is gone. Prayer can help. You might want to read these scriptures when you are feeling alone. Philippians 4:6, 7 says: "Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplications, along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God: and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." Jeremiah 29:11, 12 "For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you, " declares Jehovah, "thought of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope. And you will call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials, so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." I have these scriptures along with a few others, right up in front of me when I am sitting here at the computer. I typed them and printed them out and taped them to my computer table, so that I can start each day off by reading them.

@IreneVincent thank you for sharing. I start my day with a morning prayer and the Lord's Prayer at night.
