What are your favorite cookie ingredients?

I'm still compiling a list of sweets my family will be making in December. We plan to do 1 cookie or other sweet treat a night (sometimes more, my husband loves to bake too).
So far we have some new cookies we plan to try. Others we will be doing some house favorites like hot cocoa flavored cookies!
So what are some of your favorite ingredients? Do you bake for the holidays? Can I ask if you have a favorite recipe website you use?

Awww! I have experimented with some ingredients to try and make them a little healthier....and found Apple sauce / bananas can be substituted for butter! I also try to stick with healthy flavor enhancers to be able to cut down on sugars.
But it is hard! Well worth it overall to try and balance health and fun. But I know even those adjustments wouldn't help a diabetic. :(

@Daelii He's only Type 2 so it isn't a big deal. We're not huge fans of cookies anyway but I've recently made a nice Lemon Delicious Pudding using Splenda in place of sugar and it worked really well so perhaps I'll now try a few more things using Splenda instead of sugar.

I like to make brownies, cakes, and breads mostly. Cookies are fun, but our oven doesn't really like them haha

@DesirousDreamer it is! Plus I really really love bananas. So I usually love when the grocery store sells them at discount!

I won't be baking this year. I like chocolate chip cookies. I don't use recipe websites.
