Such a delightful little object. You twist it from side to side and the snow flirries about and the scene becomes gay and lively. I was just thinking that this little object has become quite a romantic piece in movies. I was watching a Hallmark movie the other day where a widower is explaining about his lost wife and her collection of snow globes. Each one in it's own position on the mantle. Then in another movie two people that are in love but unable to slow their feelings are talking about snow globes and how the snow reminds them both of the snow outside as they both stand at the window.

I have a friend who loves snow globes and she asked me for one as Christmas gift, so I bought her one. Its on her work table and she says its relaxing for her to look at it. When she's tired she'll pick it up, give it a little shake or at times turn it upside down and watch the snow float around.
