Counting down the days

Every day I count down the days until my daughters 18th birthday; which is 3,134 days, 3 hours and 10 minutes away.
But at this time of the year.. I also count down how many more days there are until the Month of December (9). Because although there's no set date for when my letter on my daughter will come in.. it has to come in in December..
And at this very moment.. I'm really looking forward to this years. Although that can and probably will change. As the letters I've gotten so far haven't been too different from the last.. but here's to hoping I get new info this time a round.!

What might happen when your daughter turns 18? Will you be able to contact her? I pray this will work out well for both of you.

Yes. When a child is adopted, you can't contact them until at least their 18th birthday. Unless you have an open adoption that says you can have something to do with them.
So i have to wait til her 18th birthday to contact her. Unless she contacts me first

Is the letter you are expecting about her or from her. I hope you get some satisfaction with it and learn something new.

I know that is very important. I hope when she turns 18 that she contacts you and wants the relationship you were robbed of.

@thislittlepennyearns no, it was for her safety as she still lives on Cape, and he wasn't in jail at the time we did the agreement. As her safety with him on the streets is why she didn't come home.
They can give more, now that there's been time from then to now and because I haven't tried to find her, at any time. But they haven't. It's their choice. They are the parents.

I hope you receive some new info this year. I know it's hard not knowing much about your own child. Maybe not from my own first-hand experience, but from being with my partner. I've seen how hard it is for him.
