#1 Interesting Events That Happened on December 1st

Here are just a few of the interesting things that I found, that happened on December 1st over the last 185 years or so.
December 1:
1831: The Erie Canal closes for the entire month because of cold weather.
1878: The first White House telephone was installed.
1887: Sherlock Holmes first appears in print: “Study in Scarlet”
1903: “The Great Train Robbery” the first WESTERN film was released.
1913: Ford Motor Company institutes the world’s first moving assembly line for the Model T Ford.
1959: The first color photo of the EARTH is received from outer space.
These were just a few of the things that I found.

That's true. I don't celebrate Christmas. It's way too commercial for me and I don't like the origins of Christmas. Jesus was NOT born in December.

My oldest brother was born on December 13th. I guess there were a lot of famous people born on December 1st. I could have added some of those, but I wanted to keep the post short.
