Beyond Me is a Christian song by Toby Mac, who was an original founder of DC Talk.
I saw Toby Mac with DC Talk at a Billy Graham event in the old Dallas Cowboy Stadium in Irving in 2002.
The song seems a little too much "pop music," but I love every minute of it.

I’ll be honest: I don’t. You’re right about it being too “pop.” Plus, I don’t know if he’s singing about God or a girlfriend, because he never defines “you” in the song. Sorry.

It gets a lot better in the middle. I know what you mean about the meaning of the song. Christian songs today are a little vague.
I'm kind of surprised that I even like it.

It's a Christian song, so I'm surprised it didn't play on the radio. Though it may be more progressive than your radio station plays.

@misunderstood_zombie I don't know why radio stations promote some songs and not others. I also listen to the Christian music station on Cable and I've heard a lot of songs there by artists I've never heard of. Beautiful songs too.
