This has been the hottest winter ever and then today we got bombarded with ice cold winds. I desperately searched for gloves and hat at work.

@peachy3 Yes, our winter temperatures only drop between 9-17C or if you're in the States that would be around 48-62F.

i am a winter person

i do like to sleep in my cozy blanket and not get out of it for too late in morning

but then this thought of millions of animals and homeless people freezing in cold crosses my mind

and then i feel very sad for them

me too! I've got a metal rod in my leg and when it's cold the metal shrinks and causes some discomfort.

Living in the tropics we hardly face any severe winter here , but I have experienced very severe winters in the northern parts and quote liked it, probably because it was for a short period of time.
