Will my house be painted by Christmas?

The painter could not come this weekend. He said That he´d paint next weekend. But next weekend we have the elections for President in my country so I don´t know if he´ll come although there will be someone to open the door all day. My friends don´t have to vote so they can stay while I vote.
And then, the weekend after that is Christmas. And no one, not even I, will like to watch while the house gets painted.
Meanwhile, the bare walls look horrid

I hope so. The painter was going to come this weekend but the place where he works during the week sent him out of town. And that is his real job.
