Holding Back a Bit from Getting Totally Immersed Here Again, and More Snow

I'm almost ready to be back more, but I'm really trying to get my bookkeeping done before month's end. Every year I say I'm going to do this and every year I'm still working on things into the next March. I've got a good start already and then ran into a glitch with my bank. I needed to get my statements from this past July forward to continue putting my expenses in correctly but I was unable to access my statements the way I'd been doing up to now. That's because my business bank installed better encryption and everyone got new account numbers. I got my statements after going to my branch and will contact someone in the office next week to make sure I can get them again in the future too. I know if I get to visiting with everyone that I spent time with before that I would soon have one hundred or more notifications to keep up with. At present I've been managing about half that amount fine. If I'm able to finish most of my bookkeeping this month, then that will give me much more time to re-engage in relationships here. I've got some good news to share about, but will wait and see what I accomplish with my paperwork before talking about it. I have a picture to share that I took this morning, but will have to upload it from my smartphone. Sometimes my computer will allow transfer of pictures from my smartphone to my computer, but this morning it's being fussy. This is the first snow for this year that's actually stayed on the ground. The one we had last month didn't last. It's snowed some here and there but none of that stuck either.

@amadeo that's good for the driveway and around your home.

Is Mike able to clear the snow or do you pay someone to do that for you? If I can ever afford to get that done then maybe I won't mind the snow and colder weather quite so much.

We had snow and apparently the light rain falling right now is supposed to turn to snow. Right now though we have lots of mud.

@MarshaMusselman Right now our road coming in is just one giant mud hole. I've had to leave the car at the end of the road for more than a week now.

@koopharper When roads or driveways aren't paved, that can be a huge issue. Our mechanic has an unpaved lot and when we visit for work during high rainy seasons we have to work around potholes filled with water and lots of mud there too.

We could end up with some mud next to our driveway since the grass is sparse there. It will usually get muddy mostly in the spring before the grass begins to grow again. Other than that, we live in the city and don't see too much mud about.

Glad to see a new post from you. For quite awhile you weren’t active at all and I was hoping you were just busy and nothing wrong. I saw a few posts from you recent so knew you were back. Hope you get everything taken care of here and will be back full force

It will be awhile yet before 'm here constantly, especially since now I'm watching a TV series on Netflix. But eventually it will be more than it was.

@shaggin my daughter watches several, but was watching. Criminal Minds several times when I went to talk with her. Eventually, I'd pull up a chair and finish an episode or more with her. I've since started from the beginning watching from my computer.

We got snow in November and did not stay on the ground, but we expect a lot of snow for tomorrow night. I wish they are wrong.

@MarshaMusselman It was better than we expected here in the south, about 8 inches only. In the north there are serious problems because of the quantity of snow they got.

@LadyDuck the northern parts of Michigan always gets mire snow too. In fact, they've had several feet on the ground for a month or more. We're expecting 5-8 inches this afternoon and possibly more every day this week. Temps are staying near 20 with the wind chills at 8-13. My husband is doing parking for commencement at a college the next town over. He will be there 12 hrs with some downtime in the middle. He can handle the cold more than me, but not all day. He may buy his first pair if long johns.

And where exactly, meaning what state, do you live? It seems to be done here for now which is good. I don't relish having to spend time using the snowblower just yet, although, that's much better than shoveling by hand.

Is it usual to get snow as early as November?

Yes. We've even had snow in October before, but it's very rare and that never lasts. Some Novembers we've seen snow and it's stayed on the ground and been cold and lasted the rest of the winter, so having a few warmer days this month and last has been a huge blessing.
