Blue Christmas tree, anyone?

This isn't my year for the holiday season. First I had no Thanksgiving. But I had it belatedly last week with a frozen turkey dinner with a small apple cider and a small Marie Callender's chocolate pie. Although I'll be having Christmas Day on Christmas Eve, a week from today, sandwiched between the AM and PM church services on that day. I'll be having a late lunch. My brother did inform me, that I'll be getting a few items on my Christmas list that he got for me last month. Other than being limited, it was either expensive, hard to find, or both. I know he mentioned a blanket or quilt last month. As for my Christmas tree, it's not going to happen. A week ago, when I slid the three plastic legs into the stand, one got stuck and went the wrong way. When I tried to remove it, a piece of it broke off. So I was able to Krazy Blue and got it to hold in place. I did notice a small piece was loose on the same side. So I glued it in place as well. Well I tried to hold it stlll, all the legs were facing the right way. I've looked at the instructions and groaned. So I removed the legs and double-checked it. The same leg got stuck and broke off at the same place I've glued it, though I do see the same crack there. So I'm scrapping the Christmas tree this year. I'm not going to have to decorate it in a week. I'm not going to have company this year. My cousin won't make it this weekend since she has to work too. I'm going to try to find a new tree stand or buy a new Christmas tree next November. I'll be having a blue Christmas, if I'm not going to have a white one. It's going to be partly sunny and 33 degrees for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Have you ever had a Christmas tree fail?
