Christmas play at church

I was able to go to church this morning for the first time in over two months. I was so pleased to be able to sing "Still the Greatest Story Ever Told" as a special.
My husband, grandson, and I went to a very good local restaurant for lunch, then I came home and took a two hour nap!
We had our church Christmas play this afternoon. Our 14 year old grandson was Zachariah, the father of John the Baptist. We had the usual cast of Christmas characters and this year, baby Jesus was played by a two year old little girl!
We had about 30 people at the program and everyone received a fruit and candy bag from the Sunday School.
It was nice to have a "normal" Sunday and it was really nice to just be here.

I went to church at 9 am. We had to drop off our gifts for the giving tree and the food donations for the local food bank, the vestibule was overflowing which is always wonderful to see. We will have our Christmas play next Sunday at 4 p.m.

I'm glad you were able to attend! My great grandpa used to give us kids fruit and candy bags for Christmas.
