I am going to attend the Christmas party tomorrow as requested by our clinical coordinator. I was assured that all of the part time CIs will be present. We should have gifts to exchange with others who picked our names. A male colleague who recently took the bar examination is my Kringle so I bought a table lamp with USB plug and a small trash can worth P595. I also bought a powerbank and a plastic clutch bag worth P595 for my colleague. This is the gift wherein the 6 of us will have our own party. Do you buy your gifts for exchange with the exact required amount for its price?

@ridingbet The important is to find something that may please the one who receive it.

i also was not able to find a gift worth exactly as P500. so the amount i shelled out had excess of P95 each gift. the gifts are usable and that was what i told the receiver of my gift in school. the powerbank will be for my colleague. i won't attend on the 23rd though since my brothers will arrive and it is my sister's birthday as well.

@LadyDuck indeed. i am pleased with what i received, and i know the receiver of my gift is also appreciative of what i gave him. in fact, he needs the light for his laptop since we expect him to pass the bar examination for lawyers.

that reminds me. i've been looking for a lamp, too, but unsure what to buy. i guess i'm used to the simple ones that you just plug in the socket.

yes, the lamp is good for laptops because it has the USB type of plug. i guess the receiver will appreciate it, since he, hopefully, will become a lawyer when the bar exams results are out.

That is so cool and so practical! I never had to do gift exchanges that had a set price limit. I would probably make a person someone anyway haha since that is what I do anyway.

well, i was the last one to agree on attending the party so i did not have the wishlist or the alias and the one whom i gave the gift, i also the one who gave me his gift. it was actually an exchange gift. our dean had the alias "the big one" while a colleague has "pink blush".

Our company had an exchanged gift and I gave a Parker Pen and Cloud cosmetics lipstick. Both costs almost a thousand. The amount required was just Php200 but it's Christmas and I usually give more than the required amount

I didn't join the Kris Kringle at the office, because I don't want to be stressed with the everyday token for the manita, like something hot and spicy, something sweet and etc. But I joined the exchange gift of the Christmas party I had with my HS batchmates. I bought a beautiful purple thick towel with a towelet. I got a daily bible journal reading guide titled WORD. I love it. At least, I can start reading some bible verses with insights from the priests here in Bicol. .

it was an exchange gift that i bought, not the Kringle. the term was what a male colleague informed us. when i was in high school we often give gifts to our baby kringles in secret. they don't know until the revelation day.

That are expensive exchange gifts. Here it didn't have to be that expensive. Do you like the gift you receive?

well, considering the exchange rate of the dollar to pesos, a dollar is already good for a gift, for in P300, i think we can buy just a small kind of gift, or those made in China. the ceiling amount should be P500. i think that is good.

which should be the case. we don't want to hear some things that we give gifts amounting to the exact price expected. heheh! but i know one colleague who does that. the price of the gift should be exactly P500, no more, no less.

when i buy a gift that is below the ceiling amount, i buy anything that can add to the gift, that is why aside from the lamp, i also bought that cute trash can (though this trash can can be used as a container for sheets of paper).
