Now, here’s an interesting ODD fact. Why would someone think of doing this is beyond me.
In the early 18th century, elite English gentlemen were known to shave off their own hair and then wear an elaborate wig.
One famous diarist, Samuel Pepys, gave a slight twist to this idea. He CUT off his own hair and had it made into a wig. Then, he wore that.
The only thing that makes sense about this is that while his own hair continued to grow, he might wake up in the morning, like I do sometimes, with my hair standing on end. (It can be really scary, believe me.)
So, with a wig of his own hair, ready and waiting in perfect style, he could put that over his morning mess of a hair-do and be quickly ready for company or for going to work.
That doesn’t sound like a bad idea after all, now that I have thought about it.
What do you think?

I guess that is one solution to a bad hair day.

Oh definitely. I used to wear wigs when it was more popular, and I still have some in a box somewhere. We used them for costumes at one time. I have a Dolly Parton wig that I wore once on a Cruise Ship. I have a photo somewhere.
