I am sure you have heard of the saying "If you can't stand the heat then stay out of the kitchen." I do not say this with any sarcasm of my part but Papa John's Pizza founder John Schnatter is stepping down effective on January 1, 2018 due to his comments that the leadership of the National Football League failed to put an end to the football players playing the role of social justice warriors which led to his company's pizza sales in a slump due to angry fans boycotting the pizza chain since Papa John's is one of the sponsors of the National Football League. Schnatter did say he was sorry for stepping on the toes of the National Football League controversy but it is evident that Schnatter wants to leave a sinking ship before it goes under the water. Steve Ritchie will be the new Chief Executive Officer of Papa John's Pizza starting on New Year's Day. Schnatter however will remain Chairman Of The Board of the pizza company he founded in 1984. Ritchie has been with Papa John's Pizza since 2006.

I went to one Papa John's Pizza in Lake Charles with an online coupon to get a discount and the employees thought I committed the unpardonable sin.

John has figured out that speaking up on controversial topics will haunt him in return. I am sure he is taking some time off at this time.

Well, that's the price of Freedom of Speech. Leaders in every business sector should be more inspiring and just be critical of the government.
