Do you sometimes just want peace and quiet at Christmas, not peace on earth but peace of mind?

Peace on Earth and all that is a good thing, but get real, having a time to just sit back and watch It's A Wonderful Life and enjoy some down time is better than having to prepare a heavy and complex meal and have to well, entertain others while you feel like if there were a transporter in the back room that would take you to another planet, you might opt for that instead? Don't get me wrong, it's okay that people like to gather together on the holidays but I still prefer my time on my Starship, traveling out to other galaxies with my Robot Coffee combination unit, and listen to some good down to earth music by Chris Botti. Even Santa takes a day off.
I do not own the music or images. All rights go to their respective owners. ( Columbia Records and Chris Botti ) Track Listing 1. Lisa 00:00 2. Miami Overnig...

Ahead Warp One, and maybe go to a Kepler star system where no state or local tax is put on real estate.

If at all possible, it is the best thing to experience. When your mind is at peace and your body is at rest, you think more clearly and from that point, you can be much more creative in your activities because thinking before making decisions requires down time, when you can empty your head of all the negative stuff and focus on some goals for the future to make things better for living.

I so enjoy not “doing Christmas.” Watching everyone with their frantic, anxiety-riddled faces (and downright anger in traffic) makes me wonder why they do it to themselves, and if the best present one can give is to simply get away from the “you’ve gotta do this” or “you’re supposed to do that” at this time of year. Raising a cup of caffeine-free hot tea to you, and to relaxing!

Exactly my feeling, this is why this Christmas we will be the only two of us. We had a stressed time and we both need to relax.

@lookatdesktop I also have the feeling of déjà vu, but every year is less interesting than the previous one.

No matter how many times I insist that Christmas and New Years will be different, I get De Ja Vu every single year. Like I am living in a time warp or something.

Going out of space seems the only way to get some peace and quiet these days.
