Are there really that many trans people out there?

What’s with all these transgender people being in the news all of a sudden? Surely it can’t just be down to ex Olympic Athlete Bruce Jenner transforming into a woman, Caitlyn, and making a ton of cash out of that in the process on TV? IS celebrity really as powerful as it looks? You may not be aware but he/she is part of the Kardashian phenomenon and TV show and that seemed to be the route to his/her fame. Lawyers and legislators have jumped all over the third sex and now public toilet blocks must have a third toilet block so to stop city councils being sued for letting transgender people in the ‘wrong toilet’. You don’t want someone with a penis in ladies toilet, whether they are wearing a nice frock or not as it’s not fair on the women, and vice versa. But lawyer’s quite fancy laws on a lot more things around the third sex and so a chance to make more money from law suits than even the Kardashian’s. By the way the Kardashian’s are the children of Robert Kardashian, one of the lawyers who got OJ off for first degree murder. Since the Social Security Administration started in 1936 in the U.S, 135,367 people have changed their name to one of the opposite gender, and 30,006 also changed their sex accordingly, a study found. Of Americans who participated in the 2010 census, 89,667 had changed their names and 21,833 had also changed their sex. It is a tiny percentage but about to make lawyers an extraordinary amount of money. We also have these characters that don’t change their bits and call themselves ‘non binary’, which involves women getting boyish haircuts, jumpers and sports bras to hide their boobs and not calling themselves lesbians. I may be backwards here but I have always felt that male Tran’s people are gay men who think being a woman means they are not gay. The stigma of being male and gay is an extreme one. Male homosexuality is genetic and I feel for everyone who has to go through that that does not like being gay but I think it’s hard to accept transgender-ism is a huge number of people to start giving out huge numbers of legal rights to. We are using a boulder to crack an egg with. I have nothing against anyone finding their true self but don’t expect everyone to accept that state of affairs, especially religious people. The Catholic Church is very negative about homosexuality and transgender yet, apparently, 7% of their priests are pedophiles and 34% gay! It’s not exactly a high moral ground to be shouting down at Trans and gay people from. Each to their own but lets get this in perspective.

As a high school teacher, I have seen a few transgender students over the past several years. I have one this year. And that’s just one of the schools in this town. Yes, there are many out there.
