Overhaul of Tax Code for American Citizens

I read the news recently that tax code is to be overhauled. Will the new system be in your favor or put you more burden? In my opinion taxes whatever system is used will not put in better financial positions. In other words, tax is a burden despite the fact the tax revenue will go back to the citizens.

I think the TAX PLAN is doubtful. But realistically, we have to find some way of coming to agreement on the TAX PLAN in the USA to make it better for everyone, not just the RICH, and forgetting about the POOR WORKING CLASS AND THE MIDDLE CLASS and independent business owner.
The president and Republican leaders marked the passage of sweeping tax cuts at a White House event.

President Trump signed the most significant overhaul of the American tax system in three decades, hastily adding the ceremony after media reports questioned whether he would sign it before Christmas.

@yanzalong I'm not sure what SSI is. Do you mean Social Security? We are on a pension and in general although those who receive benefits don't get huge amounts we're probably better off than some countries.
