Today, at 2PM, I went to a Memorial service for a friend's mother, who died last week.
The minister who gave the discourse explained some very special scriptures that touched my heart, based on the scripture at Romans 5:12 which says:
"That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death spread to all men because they had all sinned..."
He explained that we all inherited sin and death from Adam and that is why a ransom had to be paid. To buy back the life that Adam lost when he sinned. Jesus paid that ransom when he died for us, redeeming us from the "wages of sin" which is "death." Romans 6:23
But, only those who appreciate that ransom by following in the steps of Jesus and who keep his commandments will be able to take advantage of that ransom.
How are you living your life? Would Jesus be pleased with how you view his sacrifice on your behalf?

During the praise and worship this morning, while the music team is singing, I want you Jesus. I was murmuring, Jesus change me, Jesus change me. That I may appreciate the salvation you gave.

The Almighty God of the Bible listens to prayers and HE will help you make the changes you want to make, If you are truly sincere.
Reading the Bible is very important, so a person should try to read it every day. It is especially important to read the words of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and it doesn't really take that long to read those FOUR books of the Bible.

@jobelbojel Hebrews is an excellent book to read, because the apostle Paul was writing to the Hebrews, explaining how the ancient texts were being fulfilled, and the covenant that God had made with the ancient Hebrews was being replaced by a NEW covenant. (Chapter 8 of Hebrews.) Jesus had fulfilled the Old covenant. Then, Jesus became the mediator of a better covenant.
The Old covenant was not kept by the Hebrews. They failed to keep the LAW. Paul was encouraging them to become Christians by following Jesus. Many did make that change. Others did not.
Some people believe that modern Israel is STILL God's chosen people but the book of Hebrews explains that since they failed to keep the covenant, they LOST their privilege of being God's chosen nation.
