Not in December at least.. and he or the first Christians did not celebrate birthdays.. It looks like most of us were lied to as we were small and at school - We were involved with celebrating Christmas..and did not know that it comes from the pagan Saturnalia, and not from the Bible.. Many have stopped celebrating Christmas when they learned about this.. Have you met anyone who has done that in your country?
A brother posted a photo of a newspaper saying "Pope Benedict: Jesus wasnt born of Dec. 25" it surprised me so i search it in the internet and then i found out that it is true.

For me it is more about the fact that December can be a light hearted month, and the time with family and celebrating something positive, whether the date is accurate or not, that is why I will keep celebrating Christmas.

I read the Bible and did not see a date for Jesus' birth so we have no idea on the date. Nice to see the pope mention it also. I would think that if Jesus wanted us to celebrate his birthday, the date and the command would be found in the Bible. Christmas is more about eating, drinking, Santa and presents than Jesus.

Exactly! There are only two birthdays mentioned in the Bible, and both were celebrated by Pagans.

Most we know do not celebrate Christmas. Yes, children are told many lies about such things and still are to "keep them in line" it seems!

I'm Jewish, so I don't believe in Jesus.

Well, do you believe in the Hebrew prophets, like David, Daniel, Isaiah and the others? One of my favorite scriptures is written by the prophet Malachi 3:16 "Thus did those who fear Jehovah talk to each other; and Jehovah listened and heard it, and a commemorative book was written before him for those who fear Jehovah and those who give consideration to his name."(The Bible in Living English)

I think people can concentrate the messages He had instead of guessing in what time He was born.. that's just my opinion friend

Many know that Saturnalia was celebrated around December 25, which was a pagan holiday, and some religious leaders obviously wanted people to keep the date that they were used to have their holidays.. Many like to read what Jesus was teaching.. See jw.org.. you can choose among hundreds of languages there..and all the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation..

Well, we know from centuries that it was NOT the 25th December, because this day was decided arbitrary by the Emperor Constantine. Historians and Astrologists think that for the year, it should be from 4 years old up to 7 years older that the year declared for his birth.
