~Decorations Came Down & The Day~

We are going to do some massive cleaning this morning too . Our decorations will probably stay up until New Year's (maybe). We have nothing planned today - and this feels great we are not having to run around for a change !

Do the kids get a Christmas vacation from home schooling?

And, of course you know, that God loves you too, Jennifer. I was surprised that you took down your decorations already, but I quite understand the reasoning. I didn't put any up the last few years because of that very thing. I also don't have little kids around yet, but probably next year I'll have to put up a tree at least and I may decorate in other ways too. My younger daughter will be marrying in September and he has a four year old daughter. When you said your kids didn't mind being outside in chilly weather I had to see where you're from as I only remember a few long time friends' locations. At least in Florida you shouldn't have to worry about them getting frostbite when outside. I've never heard of Todd White. I now have a digital TV and we get streaming shows from netflix and youtube, maybe I'll check him out later today. I enjoy Joyce Meyer and have many of her books, but I've not watched her on tv.

The cold never bothered me when I was a kid. I would spend all day playing out in the snow. My son is dissappointed we aren't getting much so far. I am working a little at a time to get the decorations put away but from not feeling well yesterday I have to take it easy.

Bet it is nice to have the tree down for the year. Have a wonderful day.

I also have taken down the Christmas decorations of our office room, because the big tarpaulin hid the blinds from being opened so that I can't see the view of the mountains and roads that relaxes me from using the computer a long time.

Got the Christmas stuff out of the way too.

I'll be leaving my decorations up until at least the New Year.

I normally leave all my Christmas decorations up until after the new year, but I had some extra free time this week so I decided to just jump in and go for it and get everything packed up and put away. Although I miss the beautiful decorations, I feel relieved and happy to have all that done and out of the way.

My brother's wife is Catholic and he removed all their decorations yesterday. She removed all her ornaments today from the tree, and the tree was thrown away. Now they're ready to come to Florida next week to escape their freezing temperatures. I'm sure you feel great with a tidy house.

I feel blessed everyday by God. I got my tree down and the decor put away too.

We wont take our tree down til around January 10th. That is how we do it every year because we always wait til around December 10th to put it up.

Putting the decorations away is a bigger job then it sounds. After they are taken down, they have to be packed up and then returned to the closets and then the vacuum needs to come out. I did that yesterday. I left my nativity scene up and will put that away when its time to.
