This year (2017) the European science lost a prominent person. The Bulgarian-French scholar professor Tzvetan Todorov died on February 7th 2017. He was a significant contributor in humanities. Also he was a visiting professor at several universities, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia and the University of California, Berkeley.
He was the author of many books and essays in anthropology, philosophy, sociology, semiotics, literary theory, literary criticism, intellectual history and culture theory. He belonged to the Bulgarian and to the French science and culture. His writings are famous in Bulgaria and in France.
