Another interesting story of a lost dog who ran away from his owner at the Fort Lauderdale Airport this month where the two year old Canaan puppy was supposed to be taken care of by the mother in law of Summer Burgos who is training with the United States Navy for the time being.
The dog escaped from the airport when the crate was opened by the relative of Summer at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport.
The good news is that the Canaan who goes by the name Joker spent eight days in the Fort Lauderdale region before Joker was located near the shops.
Joker was able to be reunited his loved ones when neighbors in Dania Beach contacted Summer Burgos thanks to the tags on his collar that the dog had with him when he was located by strangers.
Joker was taken to a local veterinarian to determine if the dog was healthy which he was given a clean bill of health to come back with his owner.
The power of social media was useful for Summer to inform people to help locate her dog.

We have the social media to thank for for that.

@Deepizzaguy I'm not on facebook anyway. I have an account, an account that has been there since the beta phase of facebook but you won't see me posting there anymore. I've stopped using it about 5 or 6 years ago.

@toniganzon I do not blame you. I was angry that Facebook started to censor my views about sensitive subjects like politics.

Social media is good to help others in need. But the negatives of Facebook is that if they disagree with your political point of view, you are censored.

I'm always happy to hear these stories, with a very happy ending!
We found a lost dog once, it had been out in the woods hunting with his owner. The man was heartbroken, when his black lab came up missing! We ran an add in a newspaper and the man called my family. When the man drove into our driveway, this dog cried like a baby! They were so happy to be reunited, after a month's time:)
