Its bad when you are addicted to something an that thing interferes with your daily activities and relationships. Before we had chain smokers and alcoholics. But now with technology we have started having cell phone addicts. Are you the person who checks your cell phone while you are still in bed. Texting while driving. Checking Facebook during a meeting or during dinner with friends and family. Are you so much addicted to your phone that it stops you from interacting with people around you.

I check my phone when I'm in bed. I don't text and drive. I don't check facebook as I hate it. Smartphones have become a necessity these days so I don't know what's a phone addiction anymore.

@mayka123 Yeah that's a personal choice. I don't think it's called addiction though.

@mayka123 You see if you are driving your car even in slow moving traffic, it is not prudent to use your mobile phone. I feel irritated to see drivers using mobile phones, while driving their cars. They start driving slow on the road, while talking or texting on their mobile.

I think I am. Most of my online jobs can be accessed through my mobile phone.

We all are habituated of cell phones in some degree. But I worried it should not turn out to be a health hazard. Watching movies or playing games in the dark are seriously risky for eyes.

Funny quote but I guess there is a truth in that somehow. I'm not an addict fortunately. I have my cellphone close to me most of the time but I've managed to avoid the habit of constantly checking the phone unless necessary.

I think it is sad if someone is so glued to their cell phone that they do not pay attention to things around them or people around them.
