Greetings from Cheyenne Mountain State Park, located in Colorado Springs! Today's high will be in the 50's, so we figured we would come hang out for the day, and we'll be camping tonight. The park is located at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain, which is just south of Pikes Peak. Cheyenne Mountain boasts three peaks, the highest of which is 9,570 feet, which you see in the photo that I took upon arrival at our campsite this morning. The mountain is famous for serving as the location for NORAD (buried underneath,) the Air Defense facility that tracks Santa each Christmas Eve. Anyway, I've been up all night, so I'm taking a short nap, after which I'll be taking advantage of the weather. Ah, the joys of van dwelling!

Well, heck, I was just thinking about you and your van life (as you can probably tell from my discussion about the subject). How are things going with the new adventure? Congrats on temperatures in the 50s, too...could you send them my way?

@teamfreak16 Come have a place to park where no charge and do not think anyone would mess with us We could drink an 18 pack in the dry river bed where take dogs for walk which would mean no one messes with us because they would not hear us if we became to loud. Also weed is coming and you were right, they were sorting it out. Did not know this was the year they were going to start allowing pot stores to open. Just a bit mad because Nevada just passed it and apparently they already have pot lollipops being sold. What I learned in Laughlin anyway.

@crossbones27 - I like Cheeba Chews. Kind of like a Tootsie Roll type candy. I can make one last three days.

It's a really pretty place. It's still fairly new, only about ten or fifteen years old.

We have to get a tow package first. Have to transport the bike inside the van until then.

@teamfreak16 Do be careful, a few accidents happened in the past with similar camping vans in winter got exploded (I am not too smart in this regards to understand the technical things behind it). Enjoy your wonderful holiday.
