Good morning everyone. I hope you are doing well and I hope you had a good night's sleep. =)
It is a new day and I am so grateful I woke up this morning, thanks to the Lord!
Today, it's 8 days that I am smoke free!! God is so amazing to help me on this journey. I still cannot believe I'm not a smoker anymore. Something you do for 15 years is a big deal when you don't do it anymore!
My kids have now seen their father quit dipping through the Lord (1 month ago) and they have seen their mom quit smoking through the Lord. They have truly seen you can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength!! Amazing! We are a testimony for God-even in our own home. =)
This journey has had its ups and downs but keeping busy and staying focused on God has definitely been the 2 key factors here.
Now, I no longer have the tough cravings, I don't think much about smoking anymore, and I don't use it as an excuse/crutch any longer.
For a few days I kept saying I picked a bad week to quit since I was getting hit by satan from every angle. Then I realized it is an even STRONGER testimony for God that I still quit-even after getting hit so hard with life. Awesome!!
I am grateful for this journey because it has strengthened my faith even more than ever.

I hope you are giving yourself some credit, too. It takes strength to overcome an addiction of any kind. Good for you! And congratulations to your husband, too. (I was surprised balloons didn't come out of the congratulations, too used to Facebook!)

What a beautiful scripture to share, thank you! And that fruit is the attributes, of the Lord Jesus Christ
And all things work together for good, for those who love the Lord, for those who are the called according to his purpose. When your light shines brightly at home, the entire world can observe the power of the Lord, within you! Good job, sweet lady

@jstory07 Thank you. I was only smoking 3 a day so it wasn't costing a whole lot. God wanted me to quit so I did.

You never realize how much free time you have when you get rid of something so unhealthy. Keep it up! It is all because of you and your choices, God just gave you the life to be able to make decisions

I didn't know you smoke. It's not a healthy habit. It's the tool of satan to poison our body. Congratulations

@Leapea2417 I guess a little but towards the end I was only smoking 3 cigs per day.
It's never been about money or my health honestly. It's about God's will for my life. =)
