I came back to a scorching city.

Santiago is suffering a wave of hot air that is enhanced with the cement streets and the high buildings. Besides all that, it seems that there are forest fires nearby and that doesn´t help at all. Today, after lunch, I had to go to the supermarket to buy some things for tomorrow´s meals. I came back in a hurry to take off all my clothes. Every piece of garment seemed too much. Fortunately I had fresh ones in my closet. This is our planet. While I can hardly breathe with the heat, I watch the news that say that part of the sea in the US is frozen.

Certainly cement and high-rise buildings help create intense heat at times.
