Got stoked today!

Was so stoked at what I found today. I was on the hunt for another set of speakers, and unfortunately...came up empty handed. However... I came across something I was wanting back, so badly... Most folks will get CD carrying cases, where you have to take them out of the jackets, and place them into slots. I personally do not like to carry my CD's that way. It messes up them up. So...several years ago, when I came across some carrying cases, I was thrilled! This way it also protected the jackets, as well as the CD's. I use to fill them up with CD's, and keep them in my car. When I was done with them, I would switch them out with new ones. To be honest...with as much as I like music, I am baffled that I did not bring one single CD with me, when I came to Florida. I mean... What was I thinking??? How did I miss this??? So unfortunately...those cases got left behind, along with all my CD;'s. I did not have the money to return to Houston to retrieve them, or had anyone who was willing to mail them to me. So the other day...I was praying and wishing, that I could somehow find those kind of cases again. They just did not seem to make them anymore. Well... Today... I was at one of the Beam thrift stores, and could not believe my eyes!! There was not one, but two cases there for sale. And they were only $1 each!!! Talk about a bargin!! I paid $10 a piece, the first go round. It was wonderful just to see one of them, but two? I mean... I got both back that I lost!! The only difference these cases have, from the ones I originally had is that the front pockets were made of a mesh cloth, instead of a solid fabric. So I am a "happy camper" right now!!! LOL

That is great you were able to replace what you lost and for a cheaper bargain. I love going to stores and finding things you weren't really looking for. Now you just need some CD'S to fill it up.

I have almost 700 CD's that I collected over this past year. Most I spent between .10 cents to $1... A couple of them cost me between $2 - $5. LOL. I still have like 300 that I have not found, that I once had. However... In my search I found many I wanted to get, but never got around to. Plus... I am discovering artists I never heard of...

Wow that was a really lucky find! I think things like that are harder to find new because there are so many less CDs sold now with all the digital music downloads etc. My daughter is 13 and really into music and spends any money she gets on buying band CDs.

I remember those. I had a Case Logic box for cassettes for my mom’s car. One of the things I love about an iPod is not having to worry about loading 300 CDs into the car...then getting a song stuck in your head that you don’t have the CD for! Congrats on the find.

@teresatrotter You never know what you will find at a Thrift Shop. They have interesting things that you may not be able ti find anywhere else.
