My iPhone doesn't work well in my house - what to do?

My phone has bad reception in my house. Sometimes, calls and even text messages don't come through. Sometimes, I can't even make a call, or I am able to make a call but then the call drops in the middle of the conversation, or even right away. Lately, I've been having another issue. When I talk to people on my Phone, I can hear them well, yet they either cannot hear me at all or hear only certain words. I have to go around the house until I find a spot where they can hear me, and even then it's not great. Sometimes the call drops and then I have to call people back, but there is no guarantee the call will even go through because of my reception problems. I have AT&T. My husband who has Verizon doesn't seem to have these ongoing issues, though sometimes people may not hear him as well. This is very frustrating, especially if I have to make an important phone call or am waiting for one. I wonder what I can do to fix all these issues. I don't want to have reception problems. And I want people to be able to hear me perfectly. And I want to be able to get every call and make every call I need to make.

Have you talked to your provider? I get this problem sometimes, but not as bad as that. Hopefully there is a way to fix it.

I have not yet contacted them about people not being able to hear me. As for reception issues, I remember contacting them a while ago and they said the only thing I can try to do is get a mini cell tower I think they called it to try and boost the signal. I never did that.

@lovebuglena I wonder if you go up to an office they might give you more suggestions. That is what we do.

You need a booster for your signal, we have one at our cottage for our Verizon phones. I assume AT&T also sells one, it makes an amazing difference. It cost about $100.

Have to inquire about that. Not sure if they do. I do know Verizon does because my friend got one for herself as she had no service in her basement apartment.

Weak signal. If your provider does not want to install an antenna near you, you can buy a mobile signal amplifier/booster and a roof antenna to solve the problem. They cost about $200 here.

@lovebuglena Then switch for the same provider than your husband, as he has not this problem.

@topffer I have to see if that is possible as I am still paying off my phone (I financed it) with my current one. I also have to find out if I can bring my phone # with me. I don't want to change numbers.
