My little brother did better than Lowe's...

Well, my brother came over today after the workmen that came made their excuses about not being able to install my new refrigerator.
And so, my brother installed the thing, making no excuses. It works just fine, and I have some food in it, now. It's not full, I need to get some things I haven't bought since the other refrigerator died.
Speaking of the old refrigerator, its still in the living room. I was supposed to be able to call, and they were going to come get it, but when I finally was able to get through, the lady I got said she'd "see what she could do about it".
Now, this may be the delivery service they use (the truck that came did not say "Lowe's") but the service was certainly sub par.
It's likely the last time I'll order anything from them.

From my experience the other day, I don't feel like it's the greatest policy.

@xstitcher - thats true, but a lot of customers abused the system, so lowes got tired of the false claims.

I am glad your brother could help. Were they not able to take the old refrigerator? Isn't that usually part of the deal?

Yes, but they didn't take it. Don't know why they couldn't have just 'cause they couldn't supposedly hook up the new one for lack of having "the right tool". Taking the old fridge was supposed to be part of the deal.

When we lived in Colorado we bought a new freezer and the man was alone and he went down stairs and saw how tall our freezer was and would not take it. He said it was to tall for him to take upstairs by himself and just left without leaving the freezer we paid for. We left in the car and took our receipt and demanded our money back which we got and went across the street and had no trouble with their delivery people.

Yeah this Lowe's evidently uses a "second party" to do their deliveries. If they send me a survey, I don't feel like I can give them very good marks.
