DNA Testing

I am thinking of buying a DNA kit that allows you to find out about your ancestry and maybe find relatives who you did not know even existed. I can get one of Amazon Prime using my gift cards. MyHeritage is very highly rated and is $69.00. Have any my lotters used any DNA service and what has been your experience?

Make sure you explicitly state that you want your DNA sample destroyed after they are done testing it otherwise they will keep it and potentially use it forever. I would NEVER do one of those tests.

I have never done this but I think I saw something like this on TV. It was a celebrity qho wants to find out about her roots and the TV show helped her but I can't remember the name of the show
