Los Angeles County in Los Angeles California is dropping a late fee for their clients who fail to return books to their libraries.
The rule only applies to children under the age of 21. However if a child owes money to a library in Los Angeles County the kid can pay his fine by reading a book or books for one hour to be credited for the amount of five dollars for every hour that they read a book when a librarian starts using a timer.
The debt relief program is useful to pay off lost books and damaged books. It is a wise decision of the Los Angeles County Library to encourage children to read books since they learn a lot of their favorite subjects and stay off using the electric toys they have today.
The students who attend schools in the Los Angeles County have library card accounts thanks to the schools who are trying to get the kids to read books.
One good reason to read books is that Peter Parker and Becky Botsford who are secretly the Amazing Spider-Man and Wordgirl respectively are know for reading books since they have sharp minds.

Sounds like having the kids read books is a good alternative to paying late fees

At least some politicians in Los Angeles are waking up at last.

I love the county libraries . . . I wish there more of the county libraries around in our area. But many of our libraries are part of the Los Angeles Public Library which is different . . . I don't think they have this fee waiving program (wish they did!). My kids love to read!

Reading books is really fun since it shows the depth of the story and characters.
