Cats and Dogs

Cats seem so fond of computers
in front of the screen is their seat,
they walk all over the keyboard
such fun when they hit that 'delete'!
They think we humans are servants
to pander to their slightest whim.
They can't resist empty boxes
they see one and have to get in.
They like to trip up their owners,
just love to get under our feet,
then bring a mouse with it's head off
and expect that we'll think it's a treat
Dogs growl and bark at intruders,
the mailman and squirrels they chase,
but they are frightened of thunder,
no bravery then, not a trace.
They drool when food's on the table
they're faithful and know their own place,
but sniff at other dogs' bottoms
then slobber all over your face!
Both cats and dogs are so precious
and here is my personal view,
a cat may love on it's own terms,
a dog's life revolves around you.

@jaboUK Well, he doesn't bark. But he is a character. He can be very needy and his life definitely revolves around me. The other one is as fickle as can be ... very much her own terms for everything!

Wow! beautiful poem or should i say beautiful heart. I think the love towards cat and dog is the reason you have created a beautiful version of poem. and yes i agree cat think we are servants and they are the queens or kings of the house, oh not only the house the neighbour, they have their area divided. but i have to say my dog is cute little baby. even he doesn't cross my cat. he has agreed to have peace and not to fight for the kingship. I love them both. thanks
