Still no word from the hospital yet
I was hoping that today I would hear from the hospital about taking out the Catheter, but no, nothing. I do understand with working in the hospital that they will be busy and I’m no longer an emergency case like I was on Thursday and have to wait my turn.
So, with not being in work because there would be no way that I could work with a Catheter in, I don’t think management would let me either. I’m sitting back and doing a little online, knitting, orders to do and just relaxing and enjoying the time away from with.
Maybe to tomorrow, I will hear something, I have enough bags etc to last me until Monday, but I hoping I’ve heard from them by then.
The photo is the same one I posted the other night

I'm surprised they let you leave with one. Don't they normally take them out before you are discharged ? I remember having mine out before being discharged.

@kevin1877uk oh i see. I've never heard of that so didn't know. I had one when I had heart surgery years ago and they took mine out before i was discharged home.

@Blondie2222 I think it seems a new-ish thing to happen, I guess it saves on hospital beds, sending people home who are ok to go home and be with a catheter in until it ready to be taken out.

I think it's anew thing that you are allowed home with one, but any signs of problems then you need to go straight back. I have a long-term Catheter which can last for up to 3 months before it needs to be replaced.

Ok I guess, the catheter is out, however, I've had a lot of problems since which isn't good. I was hoping that once it was out I would be ok, but not :(

Hopefully they'll get around to you soon. And at least you can catch up - or get ahead - with your knitting.
