An animal shelter in Washington D C rescued 62 dogs and cats from Puerto Rico

The Lucky Dog Animal Rescue which is located in Arlington Virginia teamed up with Southwest Airlines to travel to Puerto Rico on a mercy mission to rescue 62 dogs and cats four days ago to assist animals and people who were affected by Hurricane Maria last year.
About 14,000 pounds of supplies for the animals and people who are in need of assistance who are affected by the aftermath of the damages from Hurricane Maria.
The dogs and cats that are making Washington D C their new home will be up for adoption at the Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.

I'm glad these animals didn't have to perish, after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico. This was a great mission, for sure!

It really was a great act for the animal shelter in Washington D C area to rescue cats and dogs and assist the people of Puerto Rico in their time of need.

I hope so too that the cats and dogs that came from Puerto Rico can find loving families to take care of them soon.
