On target!

My first year of college, I had a limited choice on phys ed, but had to have 4 hours for any major. I that first semester I took tennis. I learned that I have no depth perception. I could serve, but not return. So, the next semester I took archery and badminton. The same problems I had with tennis held true for badminton, but I was good at archery. How good was I? (I hear you ask.) The teacher said that we couldn't string a bow that we couldn't "pull." I could. We then marched out to the targets and she had us shot off some odd number of arrows. I hit a bulls eye. I was the only one to hit a bulls eye and I hit the target with every arrow, including putting one through the target. The guy next to me, who's bow I had strung to prove I could string a bow I couldn't pull, said I was a "ringer." Oh, by saying I couldn't "pull" a bow, that means to pull it to your ear and hold it steady. I guess all those archery lessons at Girl Scout Camp were good for something - huh?

@LadyDuck You would think so, since archery did win many a war for the U.K. Still, since many parts of Britain are pretty urban, and it does take some space to practice archery, it might've rather fallen out of favor.

Your lucky that you got a chance to practice archercy, I bet I'd be a laughing stock if i try to pull out a bow. Nice to see again as well.

I have been around some, more so just lately. Things have been happening a lot, many of them not great. Hopefully, though, things should be settling down some.
