I am so proud of myself! I finished our taxes tonight and efiled them, and it was a pain! Then, I did my 19 year old son's taxes in about 15 minutes. I didn't have to, but I thought I would be nice. I texted him and told him that his taxes would be direct deposited into his account and he was surprised. This is the first year that he has had to do taxes, and he thought he would have to pay. I told him that he really didn't make enough for them to want to take his money, he he will be looking forward to $998 in 2 weeks or less. He also thought he would have to wait for a check, so he was happy. He is planning to fix his car so that he can find a new job.
Our refund should be bigger and we can finally move! I am so excited. Ours probably won't be here until the end of February, but just knowing that money will eventually be here is such a load off. I'm tired of not having a home, and it has been so hard on the kids. Soon we should be able to move, and it will be so much easier for me to work from home.
Are you looking forward to tax season or do you dread it?
Hope you're all having a fantastic day!

@dodo19 My son, probably. However, EIC and Additional Child Tax Credit refunds are being delayed until the middle of February and they said not to expect them until at least Feb 27th. We will see. I hope it is soon, but I will put my energy into planning and working out all the details before we get the money, so things move more quickly when it does hit the bank.

I admire you, that is one job I hate or do not want to do
so I just pay monthly retainers fee to a B.I.R. ( our counterpart of your IRS) accredited CPA to do it for me, wish there was somebody here like you beside me lol.
January is business permit season here, done paying it, so next I have to be ready for fire safety inspection.

Preparing tax returns is just another chore that has to be done.
