My favourite news story

Most of the time, when President Donald Trump is mentioned in the same sentence as something like ‘wildlife’ or ‘conservation’ it means bad news for some, or many, species or wild places. So I was cheered yesterday to read that Mr Trump has had a positive effect on efforts to conserve sharks. This is not for the reason you might expect though, but because footage has emerged of an interview he gave a few years ago, in which he admits he hates sharks and doesn’t care if they all die. After this came to light, shark conservation charities have apparently received a surge in donations, many in Trump’s name and some accompanied with unrepeatable messages!
Shark conservationists see donations rise after claims the US president hates the animals.

I am not a shark lover either. I was not there and do not know his exact words so could not say if he said what is written here or not. I think too many people are not listening to what he really says and are giving him a bad break. I think you should listen more to him and quit saying he is bad or something nasty about him. He is the President of the United States.

I am giving hum a chance, it would be amazing if he was the president to go against the flow and ban handguns! As far as this story goes though, I was pleased because of the effect he had.

I was going to say they had something in common - sharks and Trump.

This is an interesting thing to hear about. I find Trump so disagreeable and can't understand how he has supporters. I'm pleased about sharks getting the protection they deserve.

Depends what kind of sharks they are; for example there's no reason for a human to hate or fear a dogfish (small shark) or a basking shark (second biggest fish in the world, but eats plankton: I wouldn't want to get close enough to a hungry great white to test out the 'punch on the nose' theory though!

Well that just about sums up this imbecile. Sharks are incredible animals and has he, for one minute, stopped to think what effect it would have on the delicate marine eco balance if all sharks were wiped out!! Oh hang on. He doesn't think at all does he? Tool !!! Glad, for once, his moronic utterings have had a positive effect.
