It is not the first red moon in 150 years.
It is the first time an eclipse, a full 'super' moon, and a blue moon have all coincided in 150 years.

@Icydoll Just copy/paste the link (url) and post it in your discussion.
A red moon is not that usual in itself, it is the combination of the three events occurring at the same time that is rare.

These three lunar events separately are not uncommon, but it is rare for all three to occur at the same time.

I'm not sure how good it will be here, but I'll try to get some photos. I got some halfway decent ones of the solar eclipse last year.

I want to see that event, I hope it's visible here in my location. That will be great too if you watch it through telescope. You can only see that once in a lifetime. There could be also sign for that perhaps end of times. Take a lot of pictures then and post it here.

Apparently, I will be able to see it. I'll get my niece to calculate the time and I hope to be able to see it. I am not sure the trees blocking the horizon will hamper but I'll try. i am trying to remember if there is any superstition attached to watching a blood red moon. In Harry Potter, Legolas said , "A blood red moon, tonight blood will be spill". I wonder. Hmmm.

Just heard about the Super, Blue and Blood Moon on the 31 on KHON news this evening. Locally in Hawaii the Moon's show is going to be between 4-5AM. I'm going to see the video at NASA.gov later. Forecast for rain and very cloudy conditions on the morning, so I won't stay up for it.
