It is currently quiet.
Feminazi-mama is reading a newspaper. Little Miss Narcissist is {probably} studying. Mum and Daughter are catching up with paperwork. The Yogi is practising a new breathing technique, maybe, whilst drinking a dubious kale smoothie which probably has no real health benefits, given the amount of colds and whatnot she suffers from.
I can hear sniffles and fingers clickety-clacketing on keyboards. Pages turning. The low rumble of the air-thingy.
It is pleasant, the calm before the storm. Later will bring gales of laughter and drops of loud chatter. Chairs will squeak and kettles will boil.
I only have to get through today and then I can begin my weekend, starting with Friday Frolicking with a delightful three year old, who possesses more natural intelligence than most of the sixteen year olds I work with. She is far less exhausting than a day spent with childcare students, who are babies themselves really. Babies who want babies and want to look after other people's babies.
I need to visit my mate Google now. Last night there were strange sounds coming from the sky. I want to know if I'm the only person who heard them ...
It's getting louder in here.

Definitely. And they often look quite ill as well.

@Poppylicious that is always a good sign - we only wish it was over more quickly if it went badly

I suppose that when you're only three you're not going out of your way to impress anyone. You're just being you. But when you see the behaviour of some students in lessons {and to be fair, not just low-ability} it does make you wonder if their parents paid them any mind when they were three.

I also find that kids are getting smarter these days and I am not surprised that the 3 year old is smarter than 16 year olds that you work with.

My research failed. It will for ever be a mystery. *sigh*
