Not Feeling Well

I haven't been on here much the last few days. I promise I'm not ignoring any of you, I just haven't been feeling well. I don't know what's wrong with me. I keep feeling lightheaded, weak, and shaky, the way I get when my blood sugar suddenly drops or I'm hungry. Only eating doesn't seem to make the feeling entirely go away. Apparently the antidepressant I'm on can cause low blood sugar, and also mess up the sodium levels in your blood. I wish my primary doctor wasn't on maternity leave so I could see her about it. I don't even know who I will be seeing in her place until she gets back in April, but I'm sure they aren't going to want to bother figuring out why I'm feeling this way. I need to have lab work done to make sure nothing is out of whack.
On top of this, I am exhausted and I ache all over. I don't think I have the flu, and while some of my symptoms may be due to fibromyalgia or anxiety, I don't think they all are. I literally feel like I could drop dead at any minute. If this keeps up much longer, I will either go to my primary clinic's walk-in clinic, or make a trip to the ER. (Although I'm hoping to avoid the ER, I don't know what they would do for me anyway.)
Anyway, I will try to catch up with your guys' posts when I can. Hopefully I start feeling better soon. I hate feeling like this -- it is definitely not good for my health anxiety.

That is how I feel if I dont eat and then just kept up. I wrote here about starting taking Potassium again and feeling better doing so. Have you tried taking it for a few days to see? I sure hope you feel better soon, I know how this feels and it isn't fun!

@Srbageldog How are you feeling now? Is it possible to call your doctor and ask? I know since I added it back into my regiment I feel so much better. I had started to cut back after I added it back but started to get charlie horses, so added it back in with the magnesium.

I have considered taking potassium and seeing if it helps. I know my vitamin D is low and I have to get B12 shots because it was really low. But, I don't like taking over-the-counter stuff with my meds, even when it's things like vitamins, unless my doctor tells me I can. I have been having leg pains, which I know is a symptom of low potassium, but it's not like it was when I had hypokalemia when I was younger.

@Ithink I could possibly call my pharmacist and ask, if it's okay to take over-the-counter supplements like magnesium and potassium. My doctor is out on maternity leave until April, otherwise I would just call her or make an appointment with her. She would probably want to order labs before recommending anything. I am seeing someone else (a temporary doctor) on Feb 13th, so I will ask them about it. Maybe they can order labs or at least tell me if it's okay to take supplements.

I was going to mention that maybe it's the flu, before you said you didn't think it was.. I wouldn't cross it off a list just yet though.. but hope you feel better asap! Sounds really bad!

Thanks, I hate feeling like this. Before when I felt like this, my potassium was low. But eating makes me feel better (sometimes) so I don't know if it would be my potassium or what. It feels like when my blood sugar level drops (which happens sometimes if I haven't eaten.) Zoloft can cause that to happen, and it keeps happening in the evening after I take my medicine, so...maybe it's that.

@Courtlynn I saw a doctor yesterday (Friday) and have an appointment to see one on Feb 13th. Hopefully I'll feel better by then, but if not hopefully they'll send me for blood tests to make sure everything is okay.

@Srbageldog that could be your blood pressure.i kinda felt like that before they gave me the pills.
usually if i take a couple of sips of soda that fatigue gets better.

I'm feeling a bit better now. It's weird, this feeling comes and goes. Sometimes eating makes it go away, and other times it doesn't. I'm thinking if I feel that way tomorrow I'll go get checked out. Hope I'm not becoming diabetic or something like that. Could just be anxiety over feeling weird and then the anxiety has me feeling weird.

@scarlet_woman I was thinking that too. My blood pressure is always normal whenever I go to the doctor, but I am on a med that can make my blood pressure drop. And anxiety can make your blood pressure skyrocket (my sister's bp was reaching stroke levels until she got put on meds.) I might just go into the walk-in clinic later and get checked; I don't feel like it's an emergency that requires an ER visit... And I assume that if my blood pressure is dangerously high or low, they'll send me to the ER anyway. But, I'll see how I feel when I wake up.
