I finished the first sock! Yup, I sure did! The pattern I am using is one of several from a sock knitting club that I joined on Ravelry. It is called Resfeber designed by Mina Philipp of Knitting Expat Designs. I started this sock on January 2 and haven't been able to knit on it daily because of other things I have been busy with, but, I did finish it!
The accompanying photo isn't the greatest in showing the proper colors of the yarn used. I will most likely knit the second sock opposite to this one.

@hereandthere Scarves, hats, a few stuffed toys, knitted knockers for those who have had mastectomy. I have a vest on the needles. I also have a sweater coat on the needles. I have made afghans but not in many years.

Thank you. It was many many years before I started knitting socks. The thought of using little sticks to make them with intimidated me. And four of them!!

It took me all of January to knit it. I wasn't able to devote daily knitting time to the sock. I've been busy with a play at the community theater. I will be knitting the second sock this month. I like that Mina has 2 different collections and will release the patterns every two months.

@kevin1877uk I know. She is the fastest knitter I have ever seen. Remember a couple of years ago when she and someone else had a challenge of the most pairs of socks knitted in a month? I think it was like 34 or 35 pairs. That is a little over one pair EACH day of the month!! That is crazy!

@bluerubymoon53 At least you have got one done YAY on to the second one. I've downloaded a few of here Patterns. She's not been knitting long, was it 2014 when she started knitting if not then it was 2013, I'm sure.

Unfortunately, I don't knit though I had some little interest of doing that. Some say it requires a lot of patience and disciplline.

It does take patience to learn to do something new. Knitting and/or crocheting can also be calming.
