Healthy habits for the new year

If you are anything like others, you probably made a new year's resolution. I prefer a 'life check'. A life check is where you evaluate your characteristics and patterns. Do I enable others? Am I someone who is late all the time or 10 minutes early? Is drama an issue? Have I been constantly sick? Do I like my job? Can I keep a relationship? Once you answer things and other questions honestly, then you can set life-changing plans into place. I walk every day, not because I'm trying to lose weight or exercise but because it relaxes me, giving me time to think, and walking therapy helps with tinnitus and hyperacusis. Another thing I love to do is cook. What makes it even better, is that I enjoy cooking with my daughter's. We love trying new meals and cooking has really become a family learning experience. Let yourself sleep If you have a health condition give yourself that little extra something to boost your healing power. When we sleep our bodies do more than next to nothing. It's when we grow and heal. I've never known thinking positive to be a bad thinking. I've gotten jobs thinking positive, children, vacations,, and a nice cooked meal. lol What are some healthy habits you have?

My healthy habits include going for a walk or doing sports, trying to stay informed about things around me, taking care of the closest people to me.

I've cut back on processed foods though I have more to go with that, I eat out less, stretch each morning, letting go of toxic relationships and trying to have my 30 minutes of quite time daily. Sleeping in isn't easy but I'm working on that.

I've started eating healthier this new year and cutting way back on processed foods, sugar and sweet treats.

That's great news! I wish I could give up soda but Mountain Dew is my destresser. I'm just glad I don't drink an unhealthy amount of it. One when I get stressed is ok.

I started going to the gym which I had stopped a few years ago but now I feel its a must to keep up with routine life.
