Super Bowl LII

The new Super Bowl stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota called 'US Bank Stadium' cost $1.1 Billion dollars to build and will house 65,000 fans at a minimum cost of $3,245 a ticket for the 'cheap' seats (row 19 or higher). If you're lucky enough to buy one of the fancy spots it will cost you $15,300.
So that's a minimum of $21 Million dollars that the stadium will bring in for the event. But let's not forget the cost of food and drinks either. Now considering that a 30-second commercial costs $5 million dollars, I don't know if the stadium benefits from any of that; plus, I'm not sure who forks out the money for all the half-time drama.
I do know that this event will have the highest security available and I'm not sure who pays for that. Regardless of all the money going in and coming out, that's a lot of $$$$$$.
Oh and did you know that the term 'pigskin' used to describe a football is incorrect? The ball is made from 'cow skin' and all the footballs are made in the small town of Ada, Ohio. One good thing though is that this stadium has a roof on it so even though the temperatures are going to be below freezing, at least the fans won't be freezing their butts off.

Will this be a one time hosting? If not, it seems a good investment. My country once host the Miss Universe competition and all the expense was taxpayer's money. But we didn't mind at all. Most of the 'temporary' structures were made in such a way they were incorporated into something permanent. Pretty smart, huh?

NFL owners meet and vote on the host city. Any city can place a bid and usually the location is picked 3-4 years in advance. The next 4 will be played in: Atlanta, Ga; Miami Gardens, Fl; Tampa, Fl; and Inglewood, Ca. @Gita17112016

That is a lot of $$. Good revenue for that short of time, but no way would I consider spending that type of $$ for something just for one day

I won't even pay $150 for a regular season ticket. That's just crazy!
