I Love Her Baby Blues

She comes running down to my room. As always, makes sure I do not have no food first. She was not really looking for food, but she just wanted to check because she loves her some food.
She gives me her smile and she is always smiling, but looks up at me with those baby blue eyes which still think looks so awesome on a German Shepherd. People already scared of her because how big she is and how vocal she can be to say this is my land.
Then they see her eyes and even become more scared. I am not scared, really not hard to tell her mindset. Hyper, yes, full of energy yes, scary, no. As always you good to her, she will be good to you. If you are scared, then you are probably doing something wrong and that she will let you know, but those baby blues look so cool on a German Shepherd.

I love German Shepherds @crossbones27 . I had one that passed 2 years ago from a stroke. Shepherds are susceptible to strokes by the way.

I am sorry for your loss. Yeah, the one problem with the breed is they are known to get health issues. Usually it is later in their life, but seems like they do not die of old age but get some kind of sickness.
I think the two that we have or had will be alright because we keep them active enough to where I am not to worried about a stroke. I do worry about Kai's muscle degrading in her rear legs. That is what happened to Tristan when he got old. His muscles in his back legs disappeared where he could not walk anymore. Kai seems to have a lot of muscle in her rear legs, but when she walks she drags her feet sometimes and she has a hard time scratching her ears like normal dogs. Also when she goes to the bathroom it kind of looks like she has a hard time squatting the way she would like to be comfortable.

@crossbones27 Are you sure it's the muscles? Shepherds are also know for deterioration of the hip bones. Have you taken them in for an xray? You could start giving them Chondroitin supplements to help build bone density.

@nanette64 I did not, but not sure what else it could be because he was such a muscular guy but when you felt his back legs, all the muscle was gone and was only skin there. Maybe you know more about this and to me is a mystery, so any insight you have would be much appreciated. He was such an awesome dog and to me has legendary status.

She is so beautiful and full of life! What an exciting and fun way to wake up daily with a furry friend! She sounds like a good watch dog and a good size for it too! It's nice having pets always.
