No-drowse

my decongestant

I have been having this runny nose and sneezing episodes since the cold climate came back. Last night I was sneezing incessantly but good thing I was wearing face mask and bouffant cap during our duty. This morning I have a slight fever, body pains and continuous sneezing and runny nose. It is a watery nasal discharge but it keeps on running. Hahaha! So I am taking this no-drowse decongestant so I can have my duty later. Do you take decongestants immediately when you have a runny nose? I do,aside from taking liberal amounts of water.

I can't remember actually, because it has been years since I had that. Maybe because I take 1000 mg of ascorbic each day and drink lots of water. I hope that runny nose of yours will not run anymore.

@hereandthere One after breakfast and one after dinner. Actually, my father's alternative doctor who treated his prostate cancer before, said that one can take as much as 2000 mg ascorbic acid. But that's how much your stomach can take. If you will have lbm then lower it. My father when he was being treated was made to take 2000 mg of it.

I cannot take decongestants, I have a narrow angled glaucoma, I would risk a lot taking those medications. I prefer to have a running nose than to become blind.

yes, taking decongestants has adverse effects especially to those with glaucoma. decongestants can dilate blood vessels.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who notice the recent cold specially this morning. Not to mention my nose is itching. No, I don't want to get cold. Time to buy some calamansi.

the cold climate will continue until this month as what the weather bureau announces, but i hope the transition from cold to hot will not be abrupt so our bodies will be able to adjust slowly.

yes, I do take decongestants but first I will try my nasal spray. If it does not resolve then it is a case of colds.

@ridingbet oh my, yes, that is true for us. But me, I need to prevent it otherwise it will be a long bout of asthma attack and I can not afford those because no one will do what I do but only me.

@rakski yes, and having an asthma attack in summer is kind-of weird but it happens.

I hope you feel better soon. I take an allergy medication when I get ill, since I never get a simple cold. I get a headache, cough, and congestion.

@ridingbet It looks awful in your photo. That's hilarious! We probably have more Chinese here and we don't celebrate it.

Whenever I have a cold that leads to fever and cough, I only take Bioflu as medication. It's effective for me.

I take decolgen too. It really stops the runny nose and sneezing but it gives me stuffy nose that I can't breathe through my nose

why? i think decolgen is a decongestant, so the result should be your airways should be unclogged. neozep is also another decongestant that is prescribed by my cardiologist, and these should be non-drowse.
