We have not painted our house since its construction

The exterior of our house is done up with marble chips. The interior walls are done up with marble paste. We therefore do not need to paint our house. We just wash the walls occasionally.
The only disadvantage is that if one wants to change the colour of walls that cannot be done. We are ok with that. Who wants all that mess and expenditure painting walls every three or four years or even earlier!!

That is a great idea...We too did more or less half of interiors with stones and tiles.This we have done as we hardly stay there and this small house is being looked after by care taker. So to make things easier for him to keep the interiors clean we have taken such steps. Though the initial cost is more then in long run this justifies the expenditure! Thanks dear @allknowing !

You are right there. There is that carpet, upholstery and not to forget my flower arrangements (lol) There is tapestry on the walls as well.

Nice to know you too have covered your outside walls with marble chips. We do not need to paint but just wash. How about a picture of your exteriors.
